Guwahati: Body of Youth Recovered From City Based Hotel

The deceased identified as Dhrubajyoti Deka went into a hotel room in the Sijubari area of Hatigaon along with two of his friends and spend the night with 3 girls.

Guwahati: In a shocking incident, the dead body of a 25-year-old young boy was recovered from a hotel room in the Sijubari area of Hatigaon here on Wednesday.

According to reports, the youth was found dead in Room no. 108 of the Rajpalace hotel.

The youth has been identified as Dhrubajyoti Deka, a resident of Dimu in the Kamrup district of Assam. He was working as an employee of a finance company.

Reportedly, on Tuesday 5th April Dhrubajyoti went into the Rajpalace hotel room along with two other persons and had a party in the hotel bar.

The reports claimed that he spent the night with 3 girls in the hotel after having a party with his friends but was found dead on next morning.

As the incident came to light the hotel staff immediately informed the police officials, who after reaching the crime scene initiated a detailed investigation of the dead body found lying inside the hotel room.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the police arrested two persons, identified as Biki and Devraj, who accompanied the Dhrubajyoti to the hotel for the party. 

However, the CCTV footage in the hotel showed at least six people entering the hotel along with Dhrubajyoti.

Meanwhile, the three girls, who were with Dhrubajyoti before his death are absconding since the incident came to light.

They left the hotel early in the morning and one of the friends informed alleged that the girls were given Rs 3000 each by an unknown person.
