International Yoga Day observed at Nehru Yuva Kendra, Nagaon with enthusiastic participation

NAGAON: The Assam Yoga Association and Mera Yuva Bharat, Nagaon in collaboration with Krida Bharati Nagaon, International Naturopathy Organization (INO), Surya Foundation, District Sports Office, Nagaon, Assam Yoga Science College, Nagaon District Yoga Institute, and State Yoga Center, NYK, organized a yoga programme on the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day (IYD) in the premises of Nehru Yuva Kendra Nagaon, in which a large number of yoga students and others practiced yoga. The theme of this yoga day was ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health.’

In the programme, Nagaon District Commissioner Devashish Sharma, IAS and Assistant Commissioner Tejas Agnihotri, IAS, social worker Suresh Bora, Dr KK Bora, educationist Nava Kumar Mahanta, and senior journalist Ajay Mahato, and  Prabhat Chandra Bora were present on the stage as guests.

District Commissioner Devashish Sharma addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of including yoga in daily life for mental and physical health. He also praised all the organizations involved in promoting holistic health and wellness across the district. The winning contestants of the yogasana competition organized on this occasion were honoured with fulam gamchhas and mementos. The programme was conducted by yoga master and International player Prabhat Bora. Educationist Nava Kumar Mahanta thanked everyone.
