Kaziranga Authorities Launch Workshop to Highlight Wetland Natural Resources

A workshop focusing on the natural resources of Kaziranga’s wetlands has been launched through the initiative of the authorities of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve.

BOKAKHAT: A three-day writing workshop focusing on the natural resources of Kaziranga’s wetlands has been launched through the initiative of the authorities of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve. The event is being organized in collaboration with Azim Premji University, Bengaluru-based voluntary organization “Aaranyak,” Corbett Foundation, National Book Trust of India, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Scheduled to continue until May 4, this workshop is being attended by students and researchers from various colleges and universities located in different regions of the Kaziranga National Park conservation area. Writers, professors, college principals, poets, authors, and journalists from various parts of the country were also present.Professor Claudette Chullier of Azim Premji University is participating as the coordinator. She mentioned that a training session has been opened for students to learn about textbooks related to natural resource writing, digital exhibitions, and data formats.

According to the organizers, the workshop primarily aims to introduce students to the basics of storytelling, poetry, scientific writing, nature observation writing, and audiovisual and digital media-based writing. Officials, researchers, journalists, and teachers participating in the event have also offered important opinions on forest creation and conservation.
