LAKHIMPUR: The brutal killing of the five innocent people was vehemently condemned in Lakhimpur district too by various social and non-political organizations. Raju Singha, the secretary of Lakhimpur district MASS, condemned the heinous misdeed. He, on behalf of the organization, expressed deep sorrow at the death of the innocent persons and urged upon all to keep patience at such a crucial moment in order to maintain peace and harmony in the State.
Reacting to the issue, the Lakhimpur district unit of AASU, said that violence could never resolve any problem. Condemning the sensitive incident, the organization accused the State Government for the misdeed, because the government had allegedly not taken any steps to control the political and organizational leaders who irritated the social environment by making provocative statements regarding various sensitive issues.
Similarly, Dharma Kanta Gogoi, the president of Anti-Corruption Youth, Assam also accused the State Government for the heinous incident. He termed the entire incident as a well-planned political conspiracy hatched to create law-and-order problem ahead of the panchayat poll. He also demanded the State Government to restore peace and establish an environment of faith in the society.
