Lakhimpur Police seize 104.65 kg of cannabis in its operation against Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur Police Department has continued its operation against Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) in the district.

A team of police, led by Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarter) Pranab Kumar Pegu, DSP (Border) Faruk Ahmed, OC of Boginadi Police Station, Priyabrat Gogoi and SI Diganta Saloi arrested Sarat Dutta (31) and Rajesh Mundra (24) and seized four bags of cannabis weighing around 104.65 kg, by launching an operation at Kadam Tenga Basti on Saturday night.

The team of police recovered and seized one Suzuki Celerio car bearing registration number AS 07M 9661 and three mobile phones with SIM cards from the arrested persons. On the other hand, a team of police, led by DSP Runa Neog, recovered 26.68 gram of heroin at Banderdewa from a woman on Sunday evening.
