SILCHAR: A family feud over a piece of land allegedly led to the brutal murder of an eight-year-old boy in Palowi TE in Dhawarbond in Dholai. Debjit Ree, son of Dilip Ree, a tea garden worker, was missing since Sunday. Finally on Monday late night, Debjit’s beheaded body was found in a garden. On Wednesday, SSP Numal Mahatta informed that four persons including a woman had been arrested for the brutal murder. Police suspected that the arrested persons had rivalry with the father of the victim over a piece of land. Mahatta said that further investigation was going on to unearth the exact reason behind the heinous crime and the involvement of any other person.
