DHEKIAJULI: A massive workers' convention of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held on July 8 at Orang in Udalguri district under the Rowmari Mandal. The gathering witnessed the enthusiastic participation of BJP State General Secretary Pallab Lochan Das, who delivered a motivating address.
"The BJP is aiming to win more seats in BTR this time," declared Pallab Lochan Das, setting the tone for the meeting.
He urged party workers to reach out to the public, understand their problems, and regain their trust through grassroots connection. Das also emphasized, “People’s support must be earned through active listening and dedicated service.”
Reacting to Opposition leader Gaurav Gogoi, Das stated, “Comparing the Chief Minister’s official Bangladesh visit with Pakistan is misleading and unjustified.” He clarified that CM Himanta Biswa Sarma travelled to Bangladesh only with proper visa and diplomatic clearance.
“BJP will contest all 10 constituencies in Udalguri,” confirmed Sunil Basumatary, President of the BJP Udalguri district committee. In-charge of Rowmari Mandal, Pranabjyoti Lahakar stressed the importance of strengthening the party’s organizational roots.
Key leaders present included Bhaban Chandra Boro, Babun Chandra Boro, Samar Hazarika, Dibyojyoti Saikia, and Mandal secretaries Chamala Daimari and Raju Hazarika. More than a hundred workers actively participated, showcasing the growing strength of BJP at the grassroots. The event was presided over by Robin Daimari, President of Rowmari Mandal, who led the session with great zeal.
“Our unity and discipline are our biggest strengths,” Daimari concluded.
