DONGKAMUKAM: On Monday morning, Rupsing Teron, the local MLA of Baithalangso Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC), laid the foundation stone for the improvement of two roads: the first stretches from Satgaon PWD road near Don Bosco School to Mugasong, measuring 3.950 km in length; the second extends from PWD Road Satgaon 2 to Khanajan via Mouzader Gaon (from TD Road to SRH Road), measuring 1.210 km in length. These projects fall under the MMUPPNA RIDF-XXX scheme of NABARD for the year 2024–25, under Package No: MMUPPNA RIDF-XXX-24-25-157.
Speaking before the foundation stone-laying ceremony, the MLA stated that this was another step toward fulfilling the commitment of development made to the people of the district.
He further mentioned that the road from Don Bosco School to Mugasong is frequently affected by floods and often gets washed away. However, once the current project is completed, it will significantly improve connectivity for the local population.
During Monday’s event, MLA Teron was accompanied by Rongkhang MAC Longbison Bey, President of BJP WKADC Radip Ronghang, PWD road officials, and local residents.
