DHUBRI: Speakers after speakers opined that extensive exposer of mobile phones to their children by the parents is destroying their childhood and ruining it. Academicians were addressing an orientation-cum-environment building meeting held among the guardians at Bidya Mandir in Gauripur on Sunday.
Senior academician Dr. Abdul Hanif Talukder, a retired Block Elementary Education Officer, chaired an hour-long discussion during which Sohrab Ali stated that parents should not attempt to fulfil their dreams by forcing them on their children, but rather should allow them to develop in accordance with their own aspirations.
“In addition to loving, supporting, and caring for their children, parents should also closely monitor the school's curriculum and policies to determine whether or not their kids are learning and developing,” Ali added.
Prof. Sambhu Pandey in his orientation speech to parents spoke at length on the behavioural change in the children due to extensive exposer of mobile phones to them. “ Not only can negative behavioural changes pose a serious threat to health, but they also have a negative impact on children's brain development and general growth,” Prof Pandey opined.
Other who spoke in the meeting were Retired Principal of DIET, Jitendra Kumar Sil and Prof (retired) of P.B. College, Joddar Sir. Earlier, director of Bidya Mandir, Tahrin Begum delivered the welcome address while principal, Sanu Barua Deb Adhikari anchored the programme.
