Mohuramukh hosts summer Bhaona workshop for young learners

A 10-day summer Bhaona workshop, organized by the Mohura Regional Agnigarh Shilpisamaj under the Mohura Regional Palnam Committee of the Bokakhat subdivision, began on July 20.

MOHURAMUKH: A 10-day summer Bhaona workshop, organized by the Mohura Regional Agnigarh Shilpisamaj under the Mohura Regional Palnam Committee of the Bokakhat subdivision, began on July 20. The workshop is being held at the premises of the newly-constructed Naamghar in Hahchora-Bilatia, Mohuramukh.

The workshop was formally inaugurated by Maheswar Saikia, President of the Mohura Regional Agnigarh Shilpisamaj. The training is focused on core elements of Bhaona, including acting and dialogue delivery, specifically designed for children.

The lead trainers of the workshop are Pragyanpratim Baruah and Ridip Dutta. Other trainers include Mrinaldeep Hazarika, Madhurya Saikia, Parthapratim Bhakatia, and Babu Nath, who are training around two dozen children.

The inaugural event was attended by Horen Saikia, Secretary of the Mohura Regional Palnam Committee, Pawan Kaman of Mohuramukh Press Club, and others.

According to Nayanmoni Goswami, Chief Secretary of the Mohura Regional Agnigarh Shilpisamaj, and Secretary Gaurav Hazarika, a Bhaona titled ‘Bhatritva Badhu’ will be staged by the trainees on August 9, marking the conclusion of the workshop.
