NAGAON: Rotary Club, Nagaon inaugurated a newly-constructed public waiting shed on Wednesday, marking another step in its mission to serve the community through sustainable infrastructure initiatives.
The shed was ceremonially inaugurated by local MLA Rupak Sarmah, in presence of local leaders, Rotary members, and community residents.
The event was attended by Ambika Mazumdar, Chairman, Nagaon Municipal Board, Simanta Borah, Vice-Chairman, Nagaon Municipal Board, and Simpi Borah as special invitees.
As per a press note, the newly-constructed waiting shed was donated by Rotarian Birendra Jain, in fond memory of his Late grandfather, Jaichand Lal ji Kuhar Jain. This act of remembrance through public service deeply moved attendees and underscored Rotary’s spirit of compassion and giving.
Rotarian Aman Dassani, President of the club, and Mamta Agarwal, Secretary, extended their sincere thanks to all dignitaries and supporters for their valuable presence and encouragement. This project reflected Rotary’s guiding motto, ‘Service Above Self,’ and reaffirmed its commitment to creating lasting impacts in society.
