MANGALDAI: As the 700-metre stretch of NH-15 from NRL depot to Saktola bridge under Mangaldai Police Station has been reeling under knee-deep flood water, the district administration of Darrang has closed this stretch of NH-15 for any vehicular movement for the time being.
Light vehicles and passenger buses have been diverted from Aulachowka via Janaram Chowk-Dighirpar- Bordoulguri. The NH 15 has been submerged under flood water following the breach of the embankment of River Saktola. On Wednesday morning, Deputy Commissioner Pranab Kr Sarma and Superintendent of Police Raj Mohan Ray visited the inundated stretch of NH-15 and detailed heavy security arrangement.
