BOKAKHAT: Jayanta Goswami, the Chief General Manager (Corporate Communications) of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), passed away at around 12:30 pm on Thursday while undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Guwahati. A resident of Guwahati, Goswami had been serving as the head of the Corporate Communications Department at NRL’s Guwahati office for the past few years. Earlier, he was in charge of the refinery’s Marketing Department at Numaligarh. On July 23, while on duty at the Guwahati office, he reportedly collapsed in the washroom and sustained serious injuries after suffering a brain stroke. He had been undergoing treatment for the past two weeks.
