Gyan Gogoi, former Janata Party MLA of Chabua, passed away due to old-age ailment at his Bordoloi Nagar residence in Tinsukia on March 2. He was 83. Gogoi, an honest person, was legislator from the period 1978 to 1983. He leaves behind his wife and a host of friends and relatives.
