Tarun Phukan (49), Supervisor Kanungo of Doomdooma Revenue Circle who was recently promoted from lot mandal, and is a resident of Kakapather, died in his sleep on May 4. According to family sources, he attended a marriage party of a fellow lot mandal on the night of May 3 and was found dead in his sleep the following morning. According to Nandita Roy Gohain, Circle Officer, Doomdooma Revenue Circle, a condolence meeting was organized in the Doomdooma Revenue Circle Office on May 4 to condole his demise.
