ONGC and AISCSTEWA Celebrate 4th Janjatiya Gaurav Divas to Honor Bhagwan Birsa Munda's 150th Birth Anniversary.

GAURISAGAR: ONGC, Assam Asset in collaboration with AISCSTEWA, Nazira in Sivasagar branch celebrated the 4th Janjatiya Gaurav Divas recently to commemorate the 150th  birth anniversary of the revered tribal leader, Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The aim of the event was to honour the legacy of Birsa Munda for his courage and unwavering commitment for the uplift of tribal communities in India.

The programme began with the lighting of a lamp in front of the portrait of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, symbolizing the illumination of his ideals and the spirit of tribal empowerment. Paying homage to Bhagwan Birsa Munda by lighting of lamp and addressing on the occasion by GGM (HR)-Head HR/ER and Officiating Asset Manager Rizwana Naqvi graced the occasion as the chief guest. Addressing to the gathering Naqvi delivered an inspiring address, highlighting the courage and sacrifices of Birsa Munda. She said, “Birsa Munda was a courageous leader who dedicated his life to uplift the tribal people. His commitment to their welfare is truly praiseworthy. Punaram  Mili, former President-CWC, AISCSTEWA, ONGC & Chairman, SEWA, Nazira/ Sivasagar Branch and  Dembi Ram Panging graced the function as special guests.

In his speech  Mili emphasized the importance of unity among tribal communities and the broader society. He remarked, “Unity is strength. We must come together to uplift the underprivileged sections of our society.”
