NALBARI: Assam Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah held an important meeting on Friday with senior officials of the Education Department to strengthen and modernise the academic environment of Nalbari, known as a centre of education. The meeting focused on a special pilot project titled ‘Collaborative Development of Sub-Cluster Schools.’
The meeting was held with Nalbari Government Gordon Higher Secondary School, Deviram Pathshala Higher Secondary School, and Nalbari Girls’ High School as the three core institutions. Principals, teachers, and representatives of the school management committees of the three institutions participated in the discussion.
One of the key objectives of the pilot project is to ensure the optimum utilisation of available resources among neighbouring government schools. Under the initiative, schools will be encouraged to share infrastructure, libraries, science laboratories, and digital learning facilities for the benefit of students.
The meeting also discussed strengthening academic collaboration among teachers through the exchange of teaching methodologies, experience-sharing, and specialised training programmes. Emphasis was placed on ensuring equal opportunities and quality education for students across different classes and backgrounds.
Another important aspect of the initiative will be the organisation of joint co-curricular, sports, and cultural activities among schools within the sub-cluster. Such programmes are expected to encourage interaction among students while contributing to their overall development.
