Pramod Boro Unveils Statues of Sido-Kanhu Murmu on Maha Hul Diwas in Kokrajhar

On the auspicious occasion of Maha Hul Diwas, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC Pramod Boro on Monday ceremonially inaugurated the twin statues of the legendary Bir Sido Murmu and Kanhu Murmu

KOKRAJHAR: On the auspicious occasion of Maha Hul Diwas, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC Pramod Boro on Monday ceremonially inaugurated the twin statues of the legendary Bir Sido Murmu and Kanhu Murmu at Santal Colony, Bhairiguri in Gossaigaon subdivision of Kokrajhar district.

 Talking to media persons after unveiling the statues, Boro said that this tribute to the valiant icons of the Santal community reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to honouring their legacy and preserving the rich cultural heritage of BTR’s indigenous communities. He said that the Government of BTR had been giving due honour to the legends of every community who inspire to live together in peace.

The programme was also attended by Deputy CEM of BTC Gobinda Ch Basumatary, MP Joyanta Basumatary and Rwngwra Narzary, EMs Wilson Hasda, Ranjit Basumatary, Sajal Singha, Ukil Mushahary, MLA Jiron Basumatary, and esteemed leaders of the Santal community.
