Ramkrishna Mission, Haflong extends maternity and child welfare services

Under Infosys Foundation's CSR, Ramkrishna Mission Haflong held a maternity and child welfare camp at Thanalambra, 42 km from Haflong.

HAFLONG: Under the CSR initiative of the Infosys Foundation, Ramkrishna Mission Haflong conducted a maternity and child welfare camp at Thanalambra, approximately 42 km from Haflong, on Thursday.

A total of 35 mothers and pregnant women received free health check-ups, essential medicines, and nutritious food as part of the outreach. The medical team was led by senior doctors Dr Ajoy Paul and Dr Dipali Barman, assisted by other dedicated healthcare staff.

Maharaj Amiteshananda, the Head of Ramkrishna Mission Haflong, elaborated on the objectives of the initiative, emphasizing its focus on supporting underprivileged sections of society. He described the effort as a ‘service to mankind’ and highlighted that similar camps were being organized across the country. He also announced that the programme will continue in a recurring cycle every two months.

Earlier, Dr Dipali Barman and Arup Gorlosa spoke about the importance of maternity and child welfare services and encouraged local residents to take advantage of the initiative to ensure the well-being of vulnerable communities.
