DIBRUGARH: “People who read books have more courage. We should cultivate the habit of reading books from a young age,” Dr Mukut Gohain, a distinguished scientist from the Chemical Process Technology in Pretoria, South Africa, said at an interaction program with the professors, staff, and students of DHS Kanoi College today.

In the programme where NCC cadets welcomed him from the main gate to the conference room, he said, “If you work hard, you can achieve success in everything.” He also said that discipline, positive thinking, and continuous effort help in achieving success in life. In the program anchored by Prof Dr Anisha Dutta, Dr Gohain said, “If you move forward with respect for everyone and love and affection for everyone, you can make society strong and achieve success in life.”

In the programme, the Principal of DHS Kanoi college, Dr Sashi Kanta Saikia, delivered the welcome speech and thanked and expressed gratitude to the distinguished scientist Dr Mukut Gohain and his wife, Scientist and former student of the Botany department of Kanoi College Dr Sangeeta Baruah Gohain, for coming to the college and participating in the interaction program with the professors, staff, and students. They were presented with phulam gamocha, cheleng chadar, a felicitation letter, and a framed photograph of the program.
