DOOMDOOMA: The new office-bearers of Rotary Club of Doomdooma (RCD) took charge on its 42nd Installation ceremony held on Saturday. Immediate Past District Governor (IPDG) Dr Mohan Shyam Konwar who was present as Installation officer administered oaths to the incoming president Rotarian Bibhu Das, incoming secretary Rotarian Sujit Kumar Baruah and other office-bearers of the club for 2022 - 2023. In the beginning outgoing President Rotrarian Mintu Upadhyay welcomed the guests while Secretary Rotarian Bhupen Gohain presented the Secretarial Report for 2021 -2022 through Power-Point(PP) presentation. Two new members were inducted into the club.
They are Tasdique Ghaznavi(Boon) and Dr Ranjit Bharali. Besides IPDG Dr Mohan Shyam Konwar, the meeting was addressed by Circle Officer, Doomdooma Revenue Circle Ranonmoy Bharadwaj as Chief Guest and Dr Swaraj Kumar Bhattacharjee as Assistant Governor of Zone 14. Honorary member Arjun Baruah was felicitated in the meeting for completing 50 years as correspondent of vernacular daily Dainik Asam. The meeting came to an end with offering of vote of thanks by Rotarian Prakash Dutta.
