TEZPUR: A socio-cultural organisation, Chatak conferred the Ram Prasad Bhuyan-Phuleswari Bhuyan and Jitendra Nath Bhattacharya-Bimala Bhattacharya memorial Chatak Award 2021 on renowned Assamese Film Director Satyandra Narayan Dev and noted singer, composer and musician Apurba Bezbaruah at an august event held in Tezpur on Sunday evening. Chatak, a Tezpur based socio-cultural organization has been conferring the two prestigious awards since 2009 on people who have made remarkable contribution towards the cultural field of Assam.
Deputy commissioner of Sonitpur, Bhupesh Chandra Das conferred the award that carries a memento, citation, cash money and seleng sadar to the awardees in presence of president and secretary of Chatak Anil Kumar Bhattacharya, Bhabani Bhuyan and other dignitaries.
