NAGAON: Areef Ahmed, the Principal of Ajmal Modern Residential School (AMRS), Hojai, a unit of Ajmal Super 40 under the aegis of Ajmal Foundation was conferred with the ‘Best North East Zonal Principal Award 2024-25’ from the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), New Delhi.
This prestigious award was conferred to Areef Ahmed in recognition of his vision, leadership qualities and academic initiatives on account of which the students of Ajmal Modern Residential School (AMRS), Hojai, exhibited outstanding performance in the SOF Olympiad Examinations during the academic session 2024-25.
In the previous year, Mehraj Barbhuiya, a student of class X of AMRS, achieved the 1st zonal rank along with scholarship, zonal gold medal and certificate of zonal excellence in the SOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO).
The result states that 21 students of AMRS, Hojai, cracked the Level 2 of SOF Olympiads. Khusbu Akhter Masud (class X) and Sahavan Langthasa (class X) secured zonal rank 2 with scholarship in the National Science Olympiad (NSO) and International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) respectively. Mir Mukul Ali, the Olympiad In-Charge of AMRS, Hojai, was also bestowed with the ‘Best Overall Coordinator’ as well as the ‘Best Zonal Teacher Award 2024-25’ from the SOF, New Delhi.
The managing trustees of Ajmal Foundation, Badruddin Ajmal and Sirajuddin Ajmal, MLA Binnakandi along with Dr Khasrul Islam, Director, Ajmal Foundation, Dr MRH Azad, General Manager, Ajmal Foundation and Abdul Kadir, Project Head, Ajmal Super 40, extended their cordial greetings and best wishes to Areef Ahmed, the Principal of Ajmal Modern Residential School, Hojai, for bringing these accolades to AMRS as well as to the entire Hojai district, a release added here.
