SIVASAGAR: In light of a series of recent thefts reported from the Sivasagar Civil Hospital, Joysagar campus, the hospital authorities formally requested for police patrolling in the premises, especially during nighttime hours.
A letter issued by the Superintendent of Sivasagar Civil Hospital to the Officer-in-Charge of Sivasagar police station, highlighted the urgent need for enhanced security measures in and around the hospital campus, including the MCH (Maternal and Child Health) building, which is yet to be opened.
The hospital administration stressed that most of the thefts were occurring during the night, making night-time patrols crucial. The Superintendent requested the police department to ensure that patrolling continued until the new MCH wing became operational.
The thefts have raised concerns about security within the hospital premises, especially at a time when healthcare infrastructure is under constant demand. Hospital authorities are hopeful that prompt police action would help deter further incidents and ensure the safety of hospital property and infrastructure.
