Short film 'A journey from darkness to light' screened in Nagaon

NAGAON: 'A journey from darkness to light', a short film on the life and journey of a blind student and the first awardee of the northeast India by the President of India, Kamala Boruah (Bhuyan) was screened at the auditorium of Kallul Sangskritik Gosthi, a leading cultural institution of the small town on Monday.

The film was directed by noted film director and internationally recognised film maker Arup Kumar Manna while Kuldeep Boruah edited the film. Artistes Sikha Hazarika, Sanjeev Borah, Nirman Muktiar, Jiten Borah, Nijara Saikia and others acted in the film.

Noted Assamese short story teller Sibananda Kakoti ceremonially inaugurated the show. Film maker and director Pradin Hazarika, former AGP minister Girindra Kr Boruah and dignitaries as well as cultural activists were present during the show.
