BISWANATH CHARIALI: Police seized a truck full of 21 cows on Thursday night at Biswanath Chariali. Police received information at 2 am that a truck full of cattle was coming from the Lakhimpur direction. Accordingly, a search was conducted in front of Biswanath Chariali police station and they managed to seize the truck bearing registration number AS-25-CC 9678 along with two persons.
The detainees have been identified as Shahjahad Sahni and Ricky Ahmed of Sipajhar, respectively. Police claimed that the cows were transported to other states. The police have already registered a case no 32/23 and are investigating the matter.
