GAURISAGAR: Sahitya Academy Youth Award winner for 2025 and former student of Dikhowmukh college Suprakash Bhuyan was honoured for his collection of short stories ‘Kuchianama’ by the Dikhowmukh college fraternity and College alumni association at Dikhowmukh College on Friday. On this occasion a felicitation meeting was held at college auditorium on Friday. The meeting was anchored by Dr. Ramen Kalita, Assistant Professor of the college. Dr. Dhrubajyoti Nath, principal, Swahid Piolee Phukan(SPP) College, Namti attended as chief guest. In his speech he explained the selection process of Sahitya Akademi Awards. The event was attended by Bipul Borkatoky, former principal of SMD college and president of college governing body, Dr. Protim Sarma, principal, Sibsagar Girls College, Dr.Ranjit Kumar Baruah, principal, Dikhowmuk College, Anand Kumar Bora, Alumni Association of the college.
Earlier, Dr.Ranjit Kumar Baruah welcomed the guests and gathering. In the meeting the fraternity of Dikhowmukh College, Dikhowmukh College Alumni Association, Sivasagar Zila Xahitya Sabha, Dikhowmukh and Khanamukh Sakha Xahitya Sabha among a good numbers of organizations, individuals felicitated Suprakash Bhuyan.
