DEMOW: Under the patronage of Sivasagar Doul Development Parishad in the historic Shiva Doul in Sivasagar, Sri Sri Maha Shivrati Puja and Mela started from February 17 for five days. Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Central Minister inaugurated the inaugural function of Sri Sri Maha Shivrati Puja and Mela on February 17 evening. Different programmes such book release, cultural programmes along with different other programmes were held in the last four days in Sri Sri Maha Shivrati Puja. Moreover the Sivasagar administration has declared a local holiday in the Sivasagar District on account of “Sri Sri Maha Sivaratri and Siva Utsav/2023” under Negotiable Instrument Act’ 1881. People from various places came to see the famous Sri Sri Maha Shivrati Puja and Mela in the historic Shiva Doul in Sivasagar in these five days. Popular Bollywood Singer Padma Shri Dr.Anuradha Paudwal performed in the cultural programme on Tuesday. It concluded on Tuesday.
