BAKSA: In a devastating fire that broke out at Nagrijuli weekly market under Tamulpur subdivision in Baksa district on Tuesday midnight, a stationery shop was completely gutted.
According to sources, a devastating fire broke out at about 1.30 am at Nagrijuli weekly market and the shop of Sajal Das was completely gutted. The fire started inside the shop. Local people informed Nagrijuli Police outpost and emergency fire service of Rangia. On receiving the information, a team from Nagrijuli police outpost rushed to the spot. Fire tenders from Rangia also rushed to the spot and were able to douse the raging flames. According to Sajal Das, property worth around Rs 12 lakh was destroyed in the fire.
