Tezpur: The Darrang College Students’ Union and Tezpur AASU unit staged sit-in against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 near Darrang College in Tezpur on Saturday.
The students demanded the government to withdraw the bill as it was against the interests of the ethnic people of the State. Protesters carried placards, banners, flags and shouted slogans against the BJP-led governments at the Centre and the State.
