Two medical students arrested for stealing desktops from Nagaon Medical College

Two medical students of Nagaon Medical College and Hospital and a driver involved in a vehicle lifting gang were arrested by Nagaon police yesterday here.

NAGAON: Two medical students of Nagaon Medical College and Hospital and a driver involved in a vehicle lifting gang were arrested by Nagaon police yesterday here. Sources claimed that the arrested medical students identified as Abhi Jyoti Chanda of the 2nd semester and Mahmaud Aashif of the 1st semester of Nagaon Medical College and Hospital allegedly stole 7 desktops and 7 CPUs from the medical college on Friday night. It’s reported that Abhi Jyoti Chanda is from Silchar while Mahmaud Aashif is from Juria in the Nagaon district.

Meanwhile, Nagaon police also arrested one Najim Uddin, a professional driver allegedly involved in a car-lifting gang in connection with the theft case, sources said, adding that all the arrested persons were being quizzed long at Nagaon PS by the investigative officers till the time of filing this.
