GAURISAGAR: A dead body of a woman was found at Gaurisagar Tank near Gaurisagar Police Station of Sivasagar district which created a panic situation in the wee hours of Saturday morning. An eyewitness in the walkable zone area noticed a woman's body floating in the east side of the tank early in the morning. The Gaurisagar Police Department was immediately notified. With the help of SDRF, police picked up the body. The woman was identified as Chitralekha Dihingia (53), wife of Bharat Dihingia, an employee of Gaurisagar Sericulture Firm. According to the report, she was staying at the Sericulture Firm quarters and suffering from mental illness for a long period of time. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
