BSF Apprehends 3 Bangladeshi Nationals on Meghalaya Border

In a successful operation, BSF troops in Meghalaya apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian driver attempting to cross the international border in East Khasi Hills district.

SHILLONG: In a swift and precise operation, troops of the 4th Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya, intercepted a vehicle and apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals along with an Indian driver while attempting to cross the international border in East Khasi Hills district.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, BSF personnel intercepted a Swift Dzire in the border area of Umsyiem, leading to the detention of the suspects. The individuals, identified as residents of Dhaka, Bangladesh, were attempting to enter India illegally.

The apprehended individuals, along with the seized vehicle, have been handed over to Pynursla Police Station for further legal proceedings.

The BSF remains steadfast in its commitment to securing the nation's borders, preventing unlawful cross-border activities, and ensuring national security.
