SHILLONG: Independent MLA from Mawphlang constituency SK Sunn passed away at his residence in Mawngap on Saturday evening. Syntar-Klas-Sunn after winning the 2018, assembly election as an independent candidate, later joined the United Democratic Party (UDP) as an Associate member.
According to sources, Sunn was under treatment and was unwell for some time now. It may be mentioned that Sunn won the MLA election in 2018 as an independent. Before contesting the assembly election Sunn was holding the position of Chief Engineer of the PHE department Meghalaya House for quite a few years.
