SHILLONG: Meghalaya BJP general secretary Wankitbok Pohshna has said the recent controversy surrounding the denial of permission for a Christian procession in Delhi should not be viewed as an infringement on religious rights.
“We are free to practice whatever religion or faith we want,” he stated, emphasizing that the constitutional right to religious freedom remains intact. His remark comes after a Catholic body condemned the denial of permission for the Annual Way of the Cross procession on Palm Sunday in the national capital, calling it “shocking and unfair.”
