SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Tuesday expressed concern over the recent advisory issued by the United States, terming it “absolutely incorrect” and affirming that the state government will take up the matter with central authorities and the US diplomatic mission.

“It’s a matter of concern,” Sangma said. “I will be meeting the U.S. Ambassador and, through the MEA and even through the MHA, informing them that this kind of notification has come out, which is absolutely incorrect, and we will request the US Embassy to change the notification. I hope they will be satisfied with our explanation and with the support and necessary coordination with the MEA. We should be able to rectify that the wrong notification is coming up,” he added.  On the ongoing probe into the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, the Chief Minister stated, “We are happy that the truth has come out.”
