SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Thursday registered 12 new COVID-19 cases and one death. The one who died from the virus is from East Khasi Hills District (EKHD). Meanwhile, the state also records 33 new recovered cases in last 24 hours, with this the total recovered cases reaches 82949. The tally of active cases is 218 the health department said in a bulletin. With the one new death recorded today the total number of fatalities from COVID-19 infection stands at 1476 so far.
New COVID-19 cases includes East Garo Hills: 1, East Khasi Hills: 10 and Ri Bhoi District: 1. The recovered patients today are from East Khasi Hills: 32 and West Khasi Hills: 1.
