SHILLONG: In a significant move for Meghalaya's agriculture, the state's distinctive ginger has officially made it to the Dubai market, becoming internationally recognized. Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma posted about this on his X account, highlighting how big this is for the state's agricultural exports.
The entry into the Dubai market was initiated by eight Meghalaya farmers, who visited Dubai to find out about international markets and know about global trade practices. This initiative not only speaks volumes about the quality of ginger from Meghalaya but also enables the farmers to learn more about the way trade is conducted globally.
