I-D meeting

KOHIMA: The Kohima district under the chairmanship of its Deputy Commissioner Gregory Thejawelie held a meeting for the ensuing Independence Day celebration at the DC's conference hall on Friday. The meeting was held to chalk out work distribution and other arrangements in regard to Independence Day celebration at the New Secretariat plaza, Kohima, stated a DIPR release.

Public hearing

KOHIMA: Society Training and Research on Rural Development Social Audit Unit held a district level public hearing at the DRDA conference hall with VDS of Phek and Meluri Block on Friday. While addressing the members, Project Director, DRDA, Keyirangding Hegui asked the villagers to use funds judiciously and also called upon them to maintain job cards. He said that strict documentation is needed regarding village VDBs funds so that the villagers are satisfied with our work. He also called upon the villagers to be aware of the development funds while calling upon them to work hard, stated a DIPR release.

Workshop concludes

KOHIMA: An interactive workshop on "Open Water Fisheries Management in Nagaland" organized by ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore, Kolkata in collaboration with Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Government of Nagaland, Kohima & ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Medziphema, Nagaland conducted in the Conference Hall of ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Medziphema on Friday, stated a DIPR release.

Enforcement drive

KOHIMA: The Zunheboto Town Council carried out an enforcement drive to prohibit the use and sale of all single use plastic items, specially plastic bags and cutleries including styrofoam and thermal disposable plastics that has been banned vide order NO. ZTC/TC-84/2016-2017/178, dated the 13th June 2019, in pursuance of the State Government order, issued to all shop keepers and owners, stated a DIPR release.

Meeting held

KOHIMA: Additional Director, Department of Social Welfare, Tulula Pongen held a meeting with all Anganwadi workers under Mon district at the Council Hall on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Tulula stressed on the Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan programme and informed that it is a convergence of many departments where social welfare is the nodal department. She advised the Anganwadi workers to work sincerely on this holistic programme adding that, under this programme, the targeted groups are children under 0-6 years of age, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers, stated a DIPR release.
