GUWAHATI: Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club’s (ASEBSC) poor run in the Guwahati Premier League Football persisted as they suffered their third consecutive defeat at the Judges Field today, losing 0-3 to OILFC.

Despite ASEBSC’s desperate need for a win to open their points tally, they managed to hold OILFC at bay in the first half. However, the second half saw a dominant OILFC performance, with three goals scored in a span of just eight minutes. Tulya Das opened the scoring in the 67th minute, followed by two quick goals from Jangminlun Kuki in the 70th and 75th minutes.

With this victory, OILFC regained the top spot in Cluster A with nine points from three matches.

In the day’s second match, played under floodlights, DBI Sports Club and Gauhati Town Club shared points in a 1-1 draw. Jayanta Baglary gave Gauhati Town Club an early lead in the 13th minute, but DBI Sports Club’s captain Robert Khongjoh equalized just three minutes later.
