GUWAHATI: The 5th All India Brahmaputra Squash Championship started on Friday at the RG Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati. The tournament was officially inaugurated by Minister of PHED, Jayanta Mallabaruah.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Shiladitya Dev, President of the Assam Squash Rackets Association, along with Prasanta Protim Kathkotia, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, among other dignitaries.
This year’s edition has attracted 252 participants from across the country. The competition promises high-octane action, with several top players set to feature. International squash star Joshna Chinappa is among the big names scheduled to take the court on Saturday.
