Bud Cricket Club Clinch Title in Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship

Bud Cricket Club defeated Rangia Cricket Academy by seven wickets to clinch the Head Quarter Zone title in the Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship final at Goalpara.

GUWAHATI: Bud Cricket Club emerged as the champion in the Head Quarter Zone of the Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship, defeating Rangia Cricket Academy by seven wickets in the final held at Goalpara on Monday. Both Bud and Rangia have advanced to the final round of the competition.

Winning the toss in the morning, Bud Cricket Club opted to field first. Rangia Cricket Academy struggled throughout their innings, losing wickets at regular intervals before being bowled out for 131 in 32.4 overs. Opener Ttanishq Baruah Saxena top-scored with 27, while lower-order batter Parvez Aziz contributed 24.

For Bud Cricket Club, Sibsankar Roy produced the best bowling figures, taking 3 for 23. Ayshman Malakar, Rohit Singh, and Pushparaj Sharma picked up two wickets each, while Sarupam Purkayastha also chipped in with a wicket.

Chasing 132 for victory, Bud Cricket Club reached the target in 27.5 overs, losing just three wickets. Opener Erik Roy starred with the bat, scoring 57 runs, including five boundaries and two sixes. Jitu Ali also made a valuable contribution, scoring 48 runs with seven boundaries.

For Rangia Cricket Academy, Prasanta Barman took two wickets, while Amit Kandaiburu claimed one.
