GUWAHATI: A 15-day Summer Cricket Camp for boys and girls, organised by the Guwahati Sports Association (GSA), got under way at Nehru Stadium on Friday. The camp was formally inaugurated by former Assam first-class cricketer Naba Konwar, who is also a member of the Senior Selection Committee of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA).
. A total of 65 players of age group U-16 and U-19 are participating in the camp which is supervising by eminent coach Nabab Ali, NCA Level 1 coach Chanekya Sarma, and strength and conditioning coach Pranjit Das, also an NCA Level 1 certified trainer.
Speaking on the occasion, Konwar said, “This kind of platform is vital for youngsters to build the right foundation in cricket. Consistent training, discipline, and learning from qualified coaches can truly shape their future in the sport.”
The camp will continue till July 25.
