GUWAHATI: A stellar 94-run knock from Hritik Rowniar and a sensational 7-wicket haul by Chirantan Khataniar propelled Rhinoland Cricket Academy to a commanding 171-run win over Navajyoti Cricket Coaching Centre in the 10th Sitaram Chhawchharia Memorial U-19 Cricket Tournament, held at the NFRSA Stadium, Maligaon on Wednesday.
After being invited to bat first, Rhinoland Cricket Academy posted a strong total of 241 for 6 in 46 overs. Hritik Rowniar anchored the innings with a composed 94 off 121 balls, featuring ten elegant boundaries. He was well supported by Rajveer Mishra (33) and Pratik Mour (27), while Ujjal Choudhury was the pick of the bowlers for Navajyoti, finishing with figures of 3 for 46.
In response, Navajyoti were bundled out for just 70 runs in 17.1 overs, crumbling under pressure from Chirantan Khataniar’s fiery spell. The young bowler tore through the batting lineup, claiming 7 wickets for just 23 runs in 5.1 overs, sealing a massive victory for Rhinoland.
