GUWAHATI: Nibras Hussain of Assam clinched double crown in OIL-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament which concluded at the All Assam Tennis Association complex in the city today. Nibras won both the singles and doubles titles in the boys U-14 event.
In a brief prize distribution ceremony trophies and certificates were distributed by AATA General Secretary Ankush Dutta and Treasurer Swapnil Borthakur.
Final results: Girls Singls U-12: Meera S Chaudhary (UK) Beat Kristi Haloi (AS) 6-7(5), 6-0, 7-6(4). Boys Singles U-12 Ahan Bhattacharyya (MH) Beat Atharv Narasinghani (WB) 7-6(5), 6-4. Girls singles U-14: Sanrachana Das (OD) Beat Kristi Haloi (AS) 6-1, 6-1. Boys Singles U-14: Nibras Hussain (AS) Beat Avinash Roy (BR) 6-2, 6-2. Girls Doubles U-12: Anisha M Cornelio (KA) / Kristi Haloi (AS) Beat Evana Arora (WB) / Dhaniska Mahanta (AS) 6-3, 6-3. Boys Doubles U-12: Atharv Narashinghani (WB) / Shlok Aland (MH) Beat Aryan Bharali (AS) / Anirban Deka (AS) 6-2, 6-3.
