Reshmi to lead Assam in Malaysia Tour

Assam Cricket Association names revised senior women’s team for Malaysia tour starting July 5, featuring five scheduled matches.

GUWAHATI: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has announced a revised squad for the Assam Senior Women’s Team ahead of their international exposure tour to Malaysia, starting July 5. The team is scheduled to play five matches during the tour.

The change in the squad comes as Uma Chetry, who supposed to lead the team, has been selected to join the BCCI’s CoE Emerging Women’s Camp and Tournament. In her absence, Rashmi Dey will take over the captaincy, with Gayatri Gurung named as vice-captain.

Assam squad for Malaysia tour: Rashmi Dey (Captain), Gayatri Gurung (Vice-Captain), Monikha Das, Jintimoni Kalita, Priyanka Baruah, Nirupama Baro, Jyoti Devi (WK), Khushi Sarma, Mousumi Narah, Amontika Munda, Urmila Chatterjee, Rima Pegu, Shivani Bishnoi, Priyanka Kalita. Coach:  Rajib Rajbangshi.
