MUMBAI: Mumbai all-rounder Shardul Thakur on Friday notched up his second First-Class century during his side’s Ranji Trophy match against Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) at the BKC Ground in Mumbai.
Shardul completed the hundred in 105 deliveries with 15 boundaries. On the other end, Tanush Kotian supported Shardul with a 92-ball half-century, which included six fours.
Both batters combined to rescue their side after it was languishing at 101/7. Before Shardul and Kotian entered the crease, India internationals Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal were the top-scorers for the side with 28 and 26, respectively.
On day one, J&K bowlers skittled out the opponent for 120 before the Mumbai bowlers restricted the opposition batters to 206, thereby allowing Jammu and Kashmir to take a lead of 86 runs. Agencies
