Guwahati: More than 5.35 lakh online applications have been submitted under Mission Basundhara 3.0, and the state government is planning to dispose of the applications, one by one, from February 1. The target is to complete the process of disposal of applications by March 31, 2025.
The state government is now drawing up the guidelines on the disposal of applications.
Mission Basundhara 3.0 was launched by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on October 20, 2024, with the addition of eight new services, which were not within the ambit of the first two editions of Mission Basundhara.
The new services envisaged under Mission Basundhara 3.0 are: (i) Review of Mission Basundhara 2.0 rejected cases pending for clarification; (ii) Digitalized Settlement of land to non-individual juridical entities; (iii) Settlement of erstwhile Bhoodan/Gramdan land; (iv) Ownership Rights to Occupancy Tenants in town lands that were erstwhile rural lands; (v) Offering a reclassification suite; (VI) End-to-end digitalization of Annual Patta to PP conversion with rationalized premium rates in urban areas and peripheral areas; (vii) Limited Conversion of Tea Grant land to periodic patta; and (viii) Settlement of land under SVAMITVA NC (non-cadastral) Village Survey.
It should be mentioned here that the last date for filing online applications under Mission Basundhara 3.0 was given as January 10, 2025. Till that date, a total of 5,35,588 applications were submitted.
One of the new services included under Mission Basundhara 3.0 is the review of unsuccessful applications under Mission Basundhara 2.0. Of the 5,35,588 applications, the number of review applications is 1,54,116.
An important service included under Mission Basundhara 3.0 is the settlement of land in case of educational institutions, religious institutions, clubs, etc. This service is open for submission of applications in offline mode until January 31, 2025.
According to sources of the Revenue & Disaster Management department, field verifications will be conducted during the application review or verification process.
