GUWAHATI: BSF Director General (DG) Daljit Singh Chawdhary paid a three-day visit to Mizoram and the Barak Valley and conducted a comprehensive review of the operational scenario, assessed the Force’s preparedness, and strengthen border domination efforts.
On March 17, 2025, the DG BSF arrived at Lengpui Airport, Aizawl, and called on the Governor of Mizoram, General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh at Raj Bhawan.
On March 18, 2025, the DG BSF visited BOP Parva, among other Border Out Posts located along Indo-Bangladesh border in Mizoram where he reviewed border domination measures and interacted with commanders and troops deployed in the area. He commended their unwavering dedication and professionalism in securing the challenging border and encouraged them to continue performing their duties with the highest level of commitment and zeal. Later, he arrived at HQ M&C Frontier BSF, Masimpur, Silchar where he conducted a detailed operational review. He also interacted with officers and jawans during a Prahari Sammelan.
On March 19, 2025, the DG BSF visited Border Out Post (BOP) Steamerghat on the Bangladesh border where he interacted with BSF troops and received an operational briefing from the Unit Commandant and reviewed border domination efforts. He held a Sainik Sammelan and thereafter visited the riverine border area of BOP Steamerghat in BSF Watercraft, where he observed the complexities of securing the International border with Bangladesh.
