Guwahati: An FIR has been filed in the Crime Branch in Guwahati’s Panbazar against maulana Hafiz Alauddin, Dulu Ahmed, Al Jazeera New Channel, and reporter Arshad Ahmed and other unknown persons for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, outraging religious and disturbing communal harmony in Assam, in context of the demise of Zubeen Garg. The FIR was filed by Debasish Medhi, Jintumani Boro and Mithinga Brahma.
